Recent study finds: Residents of Zurich are open to robotaxis

A recent study suggests that Zurich residents are receptive to autonomous mobility. Participants rated their willingness to take a test ride in a self-driving taxi at 5.76 out of 7, while acceptance of others using robotaxis scored even higher at 5.98 out of 7. More than half (52%) said they would replace a conventional taxi with a robotaxi, and 44% would replace Uber or another ride-hailing service. Together, these findings point to strong market openness and make Zurich an attractive environment for pilot programs and the gradual rollout of autonomous mobility services.
