AT&T has awarded an AT&T Network Optimized certificate to a solution developed by qiio in the area of the Internet of Things (IoT), further details of which can be found in a press release. According to information from qiio, this is the first-ever certification of its kind from the world’s largest telecommunications provider. The certification relates to the q200 Guardian and Concentrator XN from qiio in addition to the Development Kit.
According to the information in the press release, the products combine edge technology on the basis of Microsoft’s Azure Sphere with integrated security and connectivity services that grant customers full control over their IoT deployments. In turn, this allows businesses to scale cellular devices that self-configure and continuously improve to adapt to changing network conditions.
For qiio, this development is an important step towards gaining an additional foothold in the North American market: “This certification gives customers in the US and around the world the confidence that qiio can deliver a secure, world-class cellular/Azure Sphere IoT solution that leverages AT&T’s massive network”, explains Felix Adamczyk, CEO of qiio, in the press release. “We are looking forward to scaling this solution over the coming months”, he adds.
