Beaconsmind from Wollerau in the canton of Schwyz in Switzerland is acquiring Swissnet AG, based in Berg in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland, as well as its subsidiary Swissnet ICT, which operates out of Metzingen near Stuttgart, Germany, and Dubai-based Lokalee. With these takeover deals, the supplier of location-based marketing software is accelerating its strategic realignment from a single-product company to a comprehensive provider of IT infrastructure and SaaS solutions, as the company writes in a press release.
Swissnet is an ICT service provider that operates in the German-speaking DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) region. It offers SMEs and major corporations alike various communications services. The purchase price amounts to 9.7 million Swiss francs overall.
The takeover of Lokalee will cost beaconsmind 11.6 million Swiss francs. With the acquisition of Lokalee, a platform for concierge services based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), beaconsmind is integrating its AI-driven services for hospitality clients with its own hospitality platform from its Munich-based subsidiary Socialwave. In addition, as detailed in the press release, the beaconsmind Group has formed the joint venture Swissnet MENA in partnership with a leading global ICT hospitality provider based in the MENA region.
As a result of these acquisitions, the beaconsmind Group expects significant growth in sales and EBITDA as early as 2025: At group level, the beaconsmind Group is projecting pro forma sales of 26-28 million Swiss francs, in addition to EBITDA of 6-7 million Swiss francs. Taking this growth trajectory into account, the beaconsmind Group will operate as the Swissnet Group from the beginning of 2025.
“The acquisitions will enable us to expand our customer network and make our solutions available to an even wider audience”, comments beaconsmind CEO Jonathan Sauppe. “I am delighted to welcome the CEO of Swissnet, Boris Tölzel, and the CEO of Lokalee, Samir Abi Frem, to the extended management team”. ce/mm
