Zug – The start-up Bitcoin Suisse has developed a solution for cryptocurrency payments in conjunction with the payment service provider Wordline. The solution is now available to more than 85,000 Swiss retailers.

Bitcoin Suisse, a start-up based in Zug, has developed a new payment solution for retailers together with the French payment service provider Wordline, which will allow them to also accept customer payments in cryptocurrencies. More than 85,000 Swiss retailers in the Wordline network will now have this development at their disposal, further details of which can be found in a press release.

WL Crypto Payments

The new solution facilitates crypto payments both in store and for online shops. At present, Bitcoin and Ether payments can be processed, with the prices set in Swiss francs by retailers able to be converted into these cryptocurrencies if required. Real-time rates are used for this. Immediately after the payment confirmation, retailers can convert the cryptocurrency into Swiss francs.

This is a historic milestone for crypto adoption in Switzerland and beyond. It is a great pleasure working together with Worldline to bring user-friendly crypto payments to the market in Switzerland. This step proves once again that Switzerland is a leader in collaborative innovation and a pioneer in the crypto and blockchain industry.
