Comdat agrees takeover of Fantastic

The Comdat Group, a company specializing in IT infrastructure solutions from Schlieren in the canton of Zurich, has acquired all of the shares in Fantastic Solutions AG, further details of which can be found in a press release. Through this merger, the business group with companies operating in the area of IT infrastructure and output management will now also occupy a leading position in document management systems (DMS). Fantastic Solutions AG, which is based in Mägenwil in the canton of Aargau and has been active on the Swiss market for more than 20 years, offers digitalization, workflow, scanning and archiving solutions in addition to DMS services.

According to the press release, the merger will further strengthen the position of the Comdat Group in the hotly contested ICT market. The companies generate consolidated sales of around 50 million Swiss francs per year. “We are convinced that this merger will bring advantages above and beyond the financial numbers. The integration should help to unleash synergies that will benefit customers, partners and employees of all companies involved”, comments Paul De Moura, previous owner and CEO of Fantastic Solutions, in the press release.

Comdat is a leading provider of holistic solutions in the field of IT infrastructure for companies in Switzerland. The Comdat Group took over the Xerox specialist Smartec at the beginning of 2020. As the largest European partner of Xerox, Smartec sells systems and solutions for offices and professional digital printing. The company’s own service organization, which is active throughout Switzerland, operates around 13,000 systems for its customers.

The group employs approximately 120 employees at eight sites in Schlieren, Winterthur, Rotkreuz in the canton of Zug, Reinach in the canton of Basel-Landschaft, St.Gallen, Triesenberg, Gravesano in the canton of Ticino, and now in Mägenwil as well.
