Chur – InnoQube Swiss AG is planning a new innovation centre in the Greater Zurich Area, offering space for startups and creating a hub for research and development.

The new innovation centre, which will be built on an area of 6,000 square metres in Chur, will offer space for startups, industry and commerce as well as the service industry and tourism sector. It will also become a centre for research and development in Switzerland and abroad.

The centre will be operated by the newly founded InnoQube Swiss AG.

“InnoQube Swiss offers genuine support for startups, a centre for digitalization and concrete innovation,” Urs Marti, mayor of Chur, said in an article in the Südostschweiz newspaper about the new centre. He also called InnoQube Swiss “extremely valuable” for the future in Chur and the canton of Graubünden.

The centre will also create up to 250 new jobs. The planning application will be submitted in spring 2018 and construction is set to begin as early as this summer. InnoQube Swiss should be ready for its first occupants in autumn 2019.
