Inventx has been given the green light to proceed with the expansion of its headquarters in Chur in the canton of Graubünden, further details of which can be found in a press release. The IT service provider intends to construct a new building in downtown Chur on the site of the ‘Alter Forstwerkhof’, with the aim of offering space for more than 200 employees. Moreover, the complex is also set to include apartments, restaurants and a day nursery, as well as housing the Chur city archives.
Due to objections raised by potential neighbors, the plans proposed by Inventx were initially put on standby. However, the Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland ultimately dismissed the complaints. Gregor Stücheli, the owner of Inventx, expects construction work to get underway before the end of this year.
“We are delighted that the project can now finally be realized to breathe new life into these unused city center areas”, explains mayor Urs Marti (FDP) in the press release, before adding: “In addition, the project strengthens Chur as a business location over the long term and therefore also the positioning of the city as an attractive ICT location”.
