Schlieren ZH – The fintech company Contovista has enjoyed its first success beyond Switzerland’s borders. Austria’s biggest banking group, Raiffeisen Österreich, is using the startup’s technology for its digital finance portal.

Contovista has made its first move into the international market, announced the company in a statement. Supplying a so-called Enrichment Engine, the startup company supported Raiffeisen Österreich with the construction of its finance portal “Mein ELBA”.

The technology helps reinforce and categorize payment details, thus giving the portal’s users an accurate overview of their personal finances.

“Customer acquisitions and improvements in interaction are important aspects of the digital transformation. A software that is successful and increasingly used must be able to hold on to this success,” commented Gian Reto à Porta, CEO of Contovista, in the statement.

Explaining that Contovista’s architecture is constructed in such a way as to allow the system to scale up to accommodate increasing amounts of data and users, he added: “We are pleased to have won Raiffeisen Österreich’s trust, because with Mein ELBA, almost one in two Austrians will be managing their private banking based on Contovista technology.”

Due to the number of banks represented within Raiffeisen Österreich, which has a market share of 40 per cent and 1 million online banking log-ins daily, it was vital for Contovista’s software to be able to integrate easily into different systems.
