Stäfa ZH – The US firm Tive develops trackers to monitor transportation conditions for sensitive goods. Its latest innovation features the use of a humidity and temperature sensor developed by the ETH spin-off Sensirion.

The US firm Tive offers various tracking solutions for the logistics industry. With its devices, transportation conditions can be monitored in real time. For example, temperature, humidity, vibration and light readings are all taken. Precisely monitoring data of this kind plays a vital role in logistics processes for pharmaceutical goods such as vaccines.

Tive has now integrated the SHT33 humidity and temperature sensor developed by Sensirion in its multi-sensor tracker Solo 5G, details of which can be found in a press release. Sensirion was established in the form of a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) and is headquartered in Stäfa in the canton of Zurich. According to information in the press release, the SHT33 sensor is characterized by a high level of accuracy in addition to fast and energy-saving signal processing.

“With Sensirion, we are confident that our products have the very best components available so we can focus on improving our solutions and delivering even more to our customers”, comments Martin Forest, Head of Technology & Operations at Tive, in the press release.
