Mapping drones from the Zurich-based company Wingtra are to contribute to Silent Falcon's 3D analyses. Using artificial intelligence and digital twins, Silent Falcon specializes in the remote sensing of transportation infrastructure. In particular, the American company, which is based in the state of Virginia, offers advanced technology for the remote sensing of all airports in the United States, such as construction and maintenance activities or anomaly detection.
According to a Wingtra statement, by combining Wingtra data with Silent Falcon's digital twin enhancement platform, customers can capture details as small as 1.5 millimeters' ground sampling distance (GSD) across airport infrastructure and runways. In aerial drone surveys, GSD refers to the distance between two consecutive pixels measured on the ground. The smaller the GSD, the sharper and more detailed the image.
Silent Falcon's team of experts works with companies to create special digital copies that meet their precise needs. In the future, Wingtra's high-precision, vertical takeoff and landing drones will contribute to these copies. The drones specialize in GIS, the geographic information system for mapping technology.
