The start-up company Zynnon from Schindellegi in the canton of Schwyz is working on a non-invasive technology for diagnosing viral respiratory infections. It is designed to enable the rapid diagnosis of respiratory diseases, particularly in hospitals and care facilities. This could help improve treatment and prevent the unnecessary administration of antibiotics.
According to a statement, Zynnon has now reached a new milestone in the development of the technology. Following several successful studies, the company has started producing prototypes. These will now be tested as part of larger clinical trials.
Khaled Abousaleh, CEO of Zynnon, said the achievement was supported by partners. In the statement, he highlights the CSEM research center, the La Source School of Nursing in Lausanne, and the Swiss Innovation Agency Innosuisse. ce/ssp
