ANYbotics and Nihon Binary have announced a new partnership: The Tokyo-based company is the new sales and service partner in Japan for the four-legged autonomous inspection robot ANYmal from ANYbotics. Nihon Binary will provide ANYmal for sale or hire.
For this, Nihon Binary will provide support, training, and technical expertise to ensure the successful implementation and working of the robots. According to a press release, this newly agreed collaboration will be presented at the Tokyo residence of the Swiss ambassador on July 26.
This collaboration reflects the demand for industrial robot inspection in Japan, in particular in the oil, gas, chemical, energy, metal, and transport sectors. Satschin Bansal, Global VP Strategic Alliances & Partnerships at ANYbotics, commented in the press release: “Growing ANYbotics’ presence in Japan and focusing on expanding our partner network with accomplished reseller partners like Nihon Binary are strategic initiatives that drive our growth, increase market penetration and accelerate the global adoption of our robotic inspection solutions.”
ANYbotics was founded in 2016 as a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich. It creates advanced robots to perform tasks such as inspection, monitoring, and anomaly discovery in complex industrial environments. These robots can perceive visual, acoustic, and thermal impulses and forward information on to a monitoring center. According to the information provided, ANYmal is the only robot in the world that is also certified for explosion hazard environments. ce/mm
