The HeiQ Eco Dry product family combines protection against water and environmental protection, as this textile technology does not use any perfluorinated compounds (PFC). Water protection is offered for both clothing and footwear. The newly launched products in the HeiQ Eco Dry range are also suitable for repeated dry cleaning, as explained in a press release issued by HeiQ.
The Schlieren-based company also explains how this further development enables HeiQ Eco Dry products to be used for textiles made from premium fibers such as silk and wool as well. Walter Nassl, Chief Technology Officer at HeiQ commented that the new products have been engineered specifically to meet industry challenges. In this context, the technology maintains its effect even after multiple dry-cleaning processes.
HeiQ, a spin-off affiliated with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH), is headquartered in IJZ, an innovation and start-up park located in the Greater Zurich Area.
