From the end of this year, insurance company Helvetia Switzerland will adopt the platform of Coinnect, a company established in 2018 and based in Mendrisio in the canton of Ticino. The platform was developed specifically for the insurance industry and is designed to improve cyber risk assessment. According to a press release issued by both companies, the platform uses advanced data and artificial intelligence to detect threats and evaluate cyber risks. Helvetia says it will provide the results of this one-off vulnerability check to its customers free of charge.
In addition to risk evaluation, customers can access more detailed cyber risk assessments and continuous monitoring by Coinnect’s experts. Helvetia says that by better managing risks, customers will be able to improve the general resilience of their business. It will offer “special insurance conditions” to customers that subscribe to Coinnect’s extended services.
“We are proud to cooperate with Helvetia,” says Massimiliano Rijllo, CEO of Coinnect, adding that he looks forward to working with the insurance company to bring this innovative platform to the Swiss market.
“This partnership underlines Helvetia’s commitment to driving innovation in cyber insurance,” says Andrea Genini, Senior Underwriter and responsible project manager at Helvetia. “In addition to the undeniable benefits for our customers, the collaboration with Coinnect also helps us to further improve the cyber resilience of Switzerland as a business location and the quality of our portfolio.” ce/mm
