In a press release, the initiators of the Swiss Association for Automotive Transformation (SAAT) write that previously there were no platforms available for experts and innovators in the area of the automotive industry to exchange information. SAAT wants to close this gap and set up networks for start-ups, established companies and garages. In addition to the networking possibilities, members of SAAT will also be offered other benefits. For instance, they will be able to access an online platform with exclusive data, find out about regular events and view an annual survey on the latest issues affecting the automotive industry.
The platform is the product of a collaboration between the Swiss Startup Factory (SSUF), the Zurich-based start-up Carhelper and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). Carhelper is already driving forward innovation in the automotive industry. The start-up offers a platform that creates an overview of different garages. An algorithm calculates the costs of the individual services.
ZHAW lecturer Andreas Block sees the new platform as a knowledge generator for his study program. “Current developments and digital innovations in the automotive industry can offer a wealth of opportunities. Intensive exchanges with industry experts are leading to valuable research projects, the results of which can be directly put into practice", he explains.
“I think SAAT is an outstanding platform for start-ups, garage owners and large companies to engage in a dialogue with each other and initiate ground-breaking projects together”, says Max Meister, co-founder of the Swiss Startup Factory (SSUF).
