Squirro acquires Synaptica

The Zurich-based software service provider Squirro has acquired Synaptica, which is located in Franktown in the US state of Colorado. Synaptica specialises in solutions for taxonomy and knowledge graphs. Squirro helps companies gain relevant insights from unstructured data with tools supported by artificial intelligence (AI) for search queries, business insights and the automation of business processes.

With the acquisition, Synaptica's solutions will be integrated into Squirro's platform. According to a statement, this will improve both the accuracy and completeness of Squirro's product, as well as the classification of content, semantic search and the transparency of generative AI processes.

“The Generative AI space is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and we are committed to providing a platform that empowers our customers to stay ahead,” David Hannibal, CPO and Head of Corporate Development, is quoted as saying.

With the acquisition, Synaptica co-founder Dave Clarke will join Squirro’s leadership team as Executive Vice President, Semantic Graph Technology. ce/ww
