Ticketfrog won the Disruptor Awardat the Ticketing Business Awards in Manchester. The event is the only international awards to cover the whole spectrum of the global ticketing industry. An international jury selected winners in 10 categories from 100 nominations.
BecauseTicketfrog’s online platform is financed by advertising in the shape of vouchers, it can offer event organizers the chance to sell tickets free of charge. It is therefore ideal for small and medium-sized events that cannot afford online ticketing solutions.
There are also benefits for people buying tickets, with credit card fees absorbed byTicketfrog. The jury praised the startup’s “disruptive business model”, according to a statement.
Ticketfrog was founded as a spinoff from the MySign AG agency and is headquartered in Olten in the Greater Zurich Area. Since it launched around two years ago, the platform has won several awards. Last year, it scooped top prize at theBest of Swiss Web Awards.
