Visibility creates role models that inspire- especially for emerging talent. But it’s not just about women; it’s about diversity in general: perspectives, backgrounds, experiences. Anyone who takes innovation seriously must make diversity visible - only then does the power arise to open up new fields with new solutions.

Our methodology

The Top 100+ Women in AI & Data – Switzerland 2025 report was carefully curated by a team of experts: Melanie Gabriel (ETH AI Center), Daria Mühletaler (Alexander Thamm), Daniel Naeff (ETH AI Center), and Christian Lüscher (GZA).

  • We included women from industry, startups, and academia who play a decisive role – from leading projects to advancing technology.
  • Consultancies and large international tech corporations were deliberately excluded to highlight Switzerland’s unique AI ecosystem.
  • A dedicated curation team reviewed and validated each nomination.
  • The biggest challenge was not finding enough names, but limiting the list to just over 100.

The result: an authentic reflection of the diversity and excellence with which women are already shaping the future of AI in Switzerland.
