X-Technology Swiss R&D AG, which is headquartered in Wollerau in the canton of Schwyz, has been named as one of the winners of the Innovation Award 2020/21, which has been handed out by the Swiss Institute for Quality Tests (SIQT) for the first time. The award is based on the number of patents registered by Swiss firms between 2017 and 2019. The jury took into account data from both the Swiss Patent Office as well as those located abroad. Companies and research institutes that have recorded “an above-average score” within their segment or CPC (Cooperative Patent Classification) category were named among the winners of the award, the SIQT explains in a press release.

Among other products, X-Technology Swiss R&D AG develops sporting equipment. The company has its own brands in addition to working on innovations for firms that operate in the industry. The company is also the owner of the brands X-Bionic, X-Socks and Apani, to name but a few. It has now won the awards for “Top Innovator” and “Best in Class” in its category, emerging victorious against companies such as Mammut and Salewa in the process.

The awards “again show that X-Bionic, X-Socks and Apani are the most innovative sporting brands in Switzerland”, comments Aitor Henao, Head of the Marketing and Communications division at X-Technology Swiss R&D AG, in a press release.
