Existing and future clients of Banque Cantonale de Genève (BCGE) residing in Switzerland can now apply for a mortgage in five simple steps.
The user selects their property project, submits their personal and financial details, and then specifies the loan type and amount request. Automated eligibility checks are performed while the user confirms their application via e-signature. If found eligible, the client receives the bank’s financial proposal immediately online.
Clients wishing to open a savings account or pension plan can also do so through a fully digitalized process.
The bank’s new offer is meant to complement the services of branch offices, not replace them, Jean-Marc Joris, Head of Organization and IT at BCGE, said in a statement.
“We want to provide them [customers] with the simplicity of digital interfaces as well as the depth of human interaction and personal advice when they need it. Essentially, we’re becoming more of a ‘bionic bank’, as defined by Boston Consulting Group.”
Appway’s software solution enables the bank to process customer data directly and seamlessly switch between communication channels. It also ensures that all data entered is automatically processed.
Founded in 2003, Appway is headquartered in Zurich with offices in Geneva, Ticino, New York, Toronto, Hong Kong, Singapore and London. Its award-winning software suite serves over 420,000 users worldwide.
