LORIOT and České Radiokomunikace have created a so-called Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN) nationwide in the Czech Republic, announced a statement.
The Low Power Wireless Network Protocol was developed to secure bidirectional communication within the Internet of Things (IoT).
LORIOT reported that it tailored the system to meet the needs of the company from the Czech Republic. Designed to serve a quickly growing population and volume of data, the network is now active and being used in fields such as smart metering and logistics.
LORIOT and České Radiokomunikace are now planning to expand their collaboration to offer similar solutions in other central European countries.
LORIOT has already implemented its LoRaWAN network in several countries. It is active in Europe and Latin America and is currently expanding its infrastructure for a nationwide Internet of Things in Mexico.
