The Health Tech Cluster Switzerland is to operate as an association. Launched in 2014, the initiative now has around 250 members and plans to strengthen its activities in the field of startups.

On December 10, the Health Tech Cluster Switzerland was established as an association, with the inaugural meeting held at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) campus ​​​in the Suurstoffi in Zug-Rotkreuz.

Launched in 2014, the network now has around 250 members. Among them are manufacturers, suppliers, research and education establishments, service providers and investors. The companies are active in medical technology, pharma and biotechnology, diagnostics and healthcare. 

According to a statement released by the Health Tech Cluster, the cluster managers Patrick Dümmler and Stefan Leuthold are to continue their duties. Dümmler will focus on scientific work while Leuthold will look after the members. In the new year, they will receive personnel support. “This will allow us to work on further areas, provide new offers and strengthen our activities in the field of startups,” commented Leuthold in the statement. 

The Health Tech Cluster is maintaining its headquarters in Schwyz.
