Zurich – Eurizon Capital has opened an office in Zurich. The expansion is part of the Italian bank’s Europe-wide growth strategy, as it aims to become a leading European asset manager.

Eurizon Capital has announced the opening of an office in Zurich as part of its European growth strategy. Country head for the bank in Switzerland will be Manuel Dalla Corte, who previously worked in private banking at UBS.

At the same time as expanding into Switzerland, the bank has also opened an office in Frankfurt. A further branch in Spain is planned. “We have opted to grow our business in certain strategic European countries, through the establishment of local branches,” commented Gabriele Miodini, Head of Sales and Client Management at Eurizon Capital, in the statement.

Eurizon Capital is part of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, one of the biggest Italian credit institutions. According to the statement, the group plans to become a European leader in the wealth management and protection area by 2021.
