The Zug-based start-up Supertrends has secured 1.5 million Swiss francs in fresh capital. According to a press release, the money is coming from investors based in Switzerland.
Supertrends uses swarm intelligence to predict new trends in various areas of the economy. Its platform called Future as a Service (FaaS) can browse, analyze, and categorize new scientific articles or information from experts, for example, using intelligent software. The contents are presented to users as an overview, such as in the form of reports or visualizations.
Alfred W. Moeckli, Chairman of the Board at Supertrends, is quoted in the press release, saying: “Supertrends is revolutionizing how information about innovation, trends, and technological breakthroughs are collected, conveyed, and applied in practice.”
Supertrends plans to use the new funds to further develop its product and enter new markets. This includes a focus on the UK and the USA. The company recently opened a new location in Denmark.
Moeckli adds: “After a few years of product development followed by months of co-development with various interested organizations, we are now ready for our commercial breakthrough.”
