Burckhardt Compression from Winterthur plans to develop a joint offering of hydrogen solutions for the market together with LIFTE H2, a hydrogen infrastructure development company with headquarters in Boston and a subsidiary in Berlin. According to a press release, the two companies have signed a corresponding declaration of intent.
The companies state that each complements the other’s competences andtheyprovide “differentiated, long-term, and integrated value”. This should enable corporate partners to have greater control over their future low-carbon energy requirements.
LIFTE H2 will be providing its expertise in the implementation of advanced product and service plans andcombining this with infrastructure projects and a cooperative business model. Burckhardt Compression states: “When coupled with Burckhardt Compression’s outstanding high-pressure high-flow export compressor technology, a differentiated level of infrastructure performance, reliability and cost is deployed into hard to decarbonize applications.” It adds that this will bring the industry closer to mass market acceptance of hydrogen.
Furthermore, Burckhardt Compression aims to increase the value of LIFTE H2’s “most advanced digital platform in the hydrogen industry for asset performance management” with its service offering and expertise in machine monitoring and maintenance.
