GF, ABB, Vertiv, nVent and Acronis have R&D, production or headquarters functions in the region, creating a concentrated industrial base for infrastructure resilience and system security.

Circular pharma and medtech initiative
Schaffhausen-based be circular brings pharma, medtech, engineering and research partners together to develop closed-loop material systems for medical products. With ZHAW and Stanford University, the initiative has already developed an automated sorting prototype using machine vision and plans test facilities and Switzerland’s first industrial pilot plant at the SIG site in Neuhausen.
