Altair, a software development firm based in Troy on the northern fringes of Detroit, Michigan, has opened an office in Zurich, Switzerland. With this new office, the specialist for Computational Intelligence, a specialist field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that adopts a heuristic and approximate approach to problem solving, is seeking to expand its presence and expertise in Switzerland, further details of which can be found in a press release. Altair offers its cloud-based software solutions to industries such as healthcare, life sciences, banking and financial services, as well as to industrial sectors. In terms of the latter, the global company focuses on the automotive industry, heavy machinery, aviation and aerospace, and rail transport.
