Lugano/Zug - The organizers of the CSR & ESG meets Blockchain Summit & Awards 2024 are to pay tribute to Mathias Ruch, founder and CEO of CV VC, by presenting him with the Visionary Award 2024. The organizers of the CSR & ESG meets Blockchain Summit & Awards 2024 have announced that the Visionary Award 2024 is to be presented to Mathias Ruch from CV VC. This award for the founder and CEO of the Zug-based venture capital firm, which invests in companies active in the blockchain space, will be presented during the two-day conference on July 11 and 12 in Lugano in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. Ruch also chairs the Expert Council of the Swiss Blockchain Federation. The Impact Award 2024 goes to the CEO of the non-profit organization SKIP – Skills for Progress India. Both winners will hold keynote speeches at the conference.

“Both award winners are role models and an inspiration for us all when it comes to making the world a better place through innovation, collaboration and education”, as jury chairman Prof. Aditya Singh. He is also chairman of the Advisory Board of the ESG Center of Excellence. The independent, non-profit and non-partisan research organization based in Lugano is organizing this conference. Partners of the event include the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) and the consulting firm PwC.

According to Marco Casanova, host and director of the ESG Center of Excellence, more than two dozen experts have confirmed their participation. In addition to the conference program, a summer school is also being arranged: 30 students from Europe, India and South America will spend a week in Lugano researching the topic of “How ESG can be tokenized”.

The summit is taking place under the patronage of the city of Lugano. The focus topics of the event include the use of blockchain in relation to the SDGs of the UN and corporate social responsibility and ESG in the context of public-private partnerships in Italy, India, Peru and Switzerland.
