Zug/Abu Dhabi - The Artificial Intelligence (AI) company Swiss AI, which is based in the Greater Zurich Area, and Presight from Abu Dhabi intend to jointly offer smart and sustainable solutions for urban environments. The two companies reached an agreement to this end at the technology trade fair GITEX Global in Dubai.

Swiss AI and Presight are joining forces with the aim of transforming cities into smarter, more efficient and more sustainable environments that meet the requirements of future generations. As detailed in a press release, the two companies signed a corresponding Memorandum of Understanding at GITEX Global 2024.

Swiss AI was founded in 2020 in Zug. The spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich specializes in the seamless integration of human intelligence and advanced AI. With the aid of AI-driven simulations and predictive models, the company develops tools to support decision-making processes at companies operating across a range of sectors in order to empower them to cope with increasing complexity.

Together, Swiss AI and Presight, which focuses on Big Data analytics, aim to “create environments where technology and human aspirations align”, as Dr. Anna Gawlikowska, CEO of Swiss AI, comments. In this context, the partnership will seek to “leverage SwissAI’s advanced AI and human centric HUMAQ platform to transform urban spaces, enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and responsiveness to future needs”.

The partners intend to design predictive city models to simulate various urban development scenarios. In addition to optimizing urban traffic and stress testing infrastructure, the focus here is also on aspects such as energy efficiency and decarbonization, more effective allocation of resources, as well as improving healthcare and education services. According to Thomas Pramotedham, CEO of Presight, this is “testament to our commitment to using AI for social good”. ce/mm
