Zurich/Houston - ANYbotics has entered into a partnership with the Houston-based oilfield service provider SLB. Zurich-based ANYBOTICS has designed diagnostic robots to increase safety and efficiency in hazardous oil and gas field environments.

ANYbotics has signed a long-term agreement with SLB, a service provider based in Houston in the US state of Texas. SLB works in the field of oil and gas exploration and development. According to a statement from the Zurich-based specialist for autonomous analysis robots, the two companies intend to pool their expertise across different regions including North and South America and the United Arab Emirates as well as projects in the Atlantic.

In addition to its experience in oilfield services, SLB has a digital ecosystem that will integrate ANYbotics' robotic technologies based on artificial intelligence. These include the ANYmal X diagnostic robot, which was developed by the spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) for use in complex and hazardous environments. It can perform both routine and specialized tasks without endangering human life, writes the company.

“ANYbotics, as SLB’s preferred ground robotics supplier, will drive innovation, improve safety, and reduce environmental impact, setting a new standard for robotic solutions in the energy sector,” Enzo Wälchli, Chief Commercial Officer of ANYbotics, is quoted as saying. ce/ww
