Zurich – Farner is opening an Innovation Lab at the end of November. The communications agency’s aim is to work with its customers via pilot projects to develop better solutions at the interface between technology, design and marketing.

Farner describes itself as the first communications agency in Switzerland to open an innovation laboratory like the Farner Lab, which is designed to bridge the gap between companies and the opportunities presented by technological change, explained the company in a statement.

The aim is to give customers the chance to try out new possibilities via interdisciplinary projects, to test prototypes and to gain experience, with topics addressed including voice user interface, virtual reality and artificial intelligence. In the lab, Farner will work with partners such as the University of Lucerne, 89grad, Viable, Bandara, 360 WeAre and 4Quant.

“With the Farner Lab, we are expanding established consulting services in the context of the digital transformation to include the first pioneering applications in the Swiss communications market,” commented Farner CEO Roman Geiser. “The pilot projects with the new technologies will allow companies to create innovative and unique styles of customer contact and customer loyalty.”

The Farner Lab will open at Löwenstrasse 2 near Zurich Main Station on 29 November.
