The start-up Caressoma has won the information technology prize for the best service as part of the Virginia Tech Global Entrepreneur Partnership, as outlined in an article on startupticker.ch. A LinkedIN post explained that the winners receive a check for 15,000 US dollars as part of the prize. The two founders Dr. Sophia Borowka and Jana Maes have developed a diagnosis device to detect and monitor injuries and illnesses related to the locomotor system. The device is named SonIt and uses senor technology and artificial intelligence to determine problems with the musculature and tendons. This allows trainers to access important health data on the condition of their teams. SonIt is still under development, although it has already been subject to enquiries from interested potential customers in sporting circles around the world, according to startupticker.ch. Caressoma is a start-up affiliated with the Innovation Hub at the University of Zurich (UZH).
The Virginia Tech Global Entrepreneur Partnership in Texas offers elite student teams from all over the world the chance to expand their global networks.
