Zurich/Lanham - The drone manufacturer Fotokite has entered into a strategic partnership with Safeware. Safeware equips US fire departments, law enforcement, and occupational safety teams with safety solutions.

Fotokite and Safeware have entered into a strategic partnership in the United States. According to a press release, the manufacturer of reconnaissance drones controlled from the ground via a cord connection based in Zurich, Switzerland, is collaborating with the safety solution provider to integrate Fotokite’s airborne situation awareness technology into Safeware’s sales network. Fotokite has subsidiaries in Boulder in the US state of Colorado and Syracuse in the state of New York. The collaboration aims to provide more support to fire departments, law enforcement authorities, and occupational safety teams.

The press release states that Fotokite’s actively connected technology was developed to improve situation awareness for public safety teams. The unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) or tethered drones with a data connection via a cord provide instant aerial images that aim to significantly improve reaction times and operational safety.

Fotokite’s Sales Director Cody Lockwood commented: “This partnership will allow us to better serve our customers and expand our impact on the safety and effectiveness of emergency response teams across the US.”

Connie Stallings, Senior Vendor Relations Manager of Safeware with headquarters in Lanham in the US state of Maryland, commented: “Our collaboration with Fotokite represents a significant step forward in our mission to equip first responders with the best tools available. Fotokite’s technology complements our existing product offerings perfectly, and together, we will be able to deliver unprecedented value to our customers.” ce/gba
