In July, the Swedish cash management specialist Loomis announced its global partnership with Sonect. The fintech startup from the Greater Zurich Areas has developed an application that allows its users to withdraw cash without a physical ATM machine. Now, Loomis has come on board as a Sonect investor, according to a press release from Sonect, which is headquartered in Wangen-Brüttisellen in the canton of Zurich.
“Loomis and Sonect truly complement each other,” said Sandipan Chakraborty, founder and CEO of Sonect. “With its expertise and large customer base in the industry, Loomis can help accelerate our growth immensely.”
Sonect has also succeeded in securing the global fintech venture fund SixThirty as an investor. The Missouri-based company's go-to-market programme represents “the most innovative and promising fintech companies from around the world”. The new investor will support Sonect in expanding into the US market.
Just recently, the Swiss startup was one of only 10 startups selected for the recently completed 2018 VC FinTech Accelerator in Little Rock, Arkansas, which was sponsored by the financial technology provider FIS. The program drew 281 applicants from 47 countries.
