Start-up Weekend Uri: Kayaking on Lake Lucerne and further development of business ideas

On a visit to the canton of Uri - a dynamic center for business and innovation, nestled in picturesque landscapes and mountains - we meet Evelin Walker and Mario Epp, both project managers at the Office for Economy and Public Transport at the canton of Uri. Our conversation centers on the Start-up Weekend Uri, which will be held again in September. The application phase is currently underway.

Mario Epp, the Start-up Weekend Uri seems to be a real highlight for young entrepreneurs. Can you explain what makes this event so special?

"Of course. Imagine starting the day with a kayak trip on Lake Lucerne and then brainstorming new business ideas in a co-working space with a view of the Alps. This is Uri! Our Start-up Weekend offers a unique mix of an intensive workshop program and impressive leisure opportunities right on the doorstep.
