According to a press release, the Executive MBA in Digital Leadership Program will start in February 2020. It will be a 16-month course aimed at students who already have a degree and at least three years’ management experience. The aim of the program is to prepare executives for the digital revolution. Students will focus on subjects such as data-driven decision making, platform economics and intrapreneurship.
The program also includes a “digital start-up challenge”. Students will present ideas for digital products and services and be given the opportunity to receive start-up funding. The program also includes three study trips. One of them will be in Switzerland and will involve the two Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology in Lausanne and Zurich and the CERN. The second trip will be to the USA, where students will visit Harvard and Yale and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The third trip will be to China, where students will visit leading technology companies in Peking and Shanghai.
The new program will be headed by Manuel P. Nappo, Director of the Institute for Digital Business at the HWZ, and Sunnie J. Groeneveld. Groeneveld was the first director of the location initiative digitalswitzerland and sits on the board of three medium-sized Swiss companies. She also founded the consultancy Inspire 925.
