Zurich Airport has been named Europe’s Leading Airport at the World Travel Awards for the 21st time in a row, Flughafen Zürich AG announced in a statement. The competition assesses customer satisfaction and the quality of products and services at and around Zurich Airport. The winning airport is selected from the nominees by the World Travel Awards Committee in an online voting process.

With an annual volume of 25 to 40 million passengers, Zurich Airport also won the Airport Service Quality Award 2023 (ASQ Award 2023), presented by the Airport Council International World, in the European airports category. Zurich Airport previously topped its category in 2006 and 2008, as well as from 2018 to 2022, in the competition held by the international organisation of airport operators. The ASQ Award is based on customer satisfaction surveys, which feature questions in 34 different categories such as the quality of infrastructure, and catering and hygiene measures.

“We are very pleased that we were once again able to win two of the most prestigious awards in our industry,” Lukas Brosi, CEO Flughafen Zürich AG, is quoted as saying. “Ensuring high quality for our passengers is of great importance to Zurich Airport and requires good cooperation between all partners.” ce/hs
