Zurich – Major bank UBS has opened a new Digital Factory in Zurich. The premises will be home to 600 staff developing new digital products. With the factory’s proximity to colleges and the university, UBS is providing access to young talent.

UBS has opened its new Digital Factory in Zurich-West, with the existing factory moving from its temporary location in Paradeplatz to the new premises. The site in Flurstrasse is being maintained, giving the Digital Factory two sites.

“The new Digital Factory in Zurich is a further commitment to Switzerland as a business location and offers an innovative working environment for up to 600 employees,” commented President of UBS Switzerland, Axel Lehmann, in a statement. Employees will be working on three floors, over almost 4,100 metres squared and across divisions.

In the Digital Factory, UBS is developing new digital products so specialists from more than 20 disciplines are working together. UBS describes the “modern working environment in fashionable Zurich-West” as an advantage: with its “proximity to colleges and university”, it “provides access to young talent and enhances our attractiveness as an employer”.
