Baar ZG – Arviem has raised 10 million US dollars in a financing round. The logistics startup company from the Greater Zurich Area is developing a digital solution for tracking goods transport in real-time.

Arviem has successfully closed a Series B financing round with 10 million US dollars. Among the new investors in the company are SwisscomVerve Capital Partners AG, which manages platforms including investiere.ch, and Sicpa, a provider of secure identification solutions.

Arviem is developing a solution based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to track goods during transport. The technology can provide real-time data on location, temperature and humidity.

The new funds have been designated to help develop the technology and portfolio further, with the aim of incorporating data gathered so far and offering a service for the risk profiles of supply chains.

“New technologies are being introduced more quickly in the shipping industry and logistics, so companies offering tailored solutions in this market are well positioned for continuing success,” commented Sauro Nicli, CIO of Sicpa.

Arviem was founded around 10 years ago and is headquartered in Baar in the Greater Zurich Area.
