Accenture intends to further strengthen its presence in the canton of Ticino. The consulting firm had previously launched a targeted recruitment strategy in the canton at the start of the year, for which it was supported by both Università della Svizzera italiana (University of Italian Switzerland; USI) and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI). Accenture is also participating in an initiative that aims to bring highly-qualified employees back to the canton of Ticino. The focus is on Ticino natives currently working abroad. To this end, the consulting firm is collaborating with the OSA (Organization of the Swiss Abroad). "We are glad to have identified Ticino as a European Innovation Hub for our company. The company’s recruitment plan has gone well so far," said Michele Raballo, Managing Director, Europe Lead Commerce.
Accenture is being supported by the Lifestyle-Tech Competence Center (LTCC) association in its efforts to establish an innovation location in the canton of Ticino, the press release explains further. LTCC helps companies to realize research projects, while the association has already recruited start-ups keen to take part in the research projects Accenture will carry out. According to information from the company itself, Accenture in investing in more research and development projects that have been allocated to the LTCC research team and start-ups located in the local area.
In addition, Accenture will also be teaming up with the co-working service provider Dagorà. “Today we set another milestone in collaboration with Dagorà to extend our offices and to expand our presence in Ticino with the desire to set-up an Innovation Hub involving international partners from all over the word”, explains Francesco de Maria, Digital Commerce Director at Accenture Interactive, in the press release.
LTCC is also based at the co-working space offered by Dagorà. In total, around 20 different companies work there, including Microsoft.
