Hamilton Bonaduz AG from Bonaduz in the canton of Graubünden has unveiled the latest generation of optical sensors for measuring dissolved oxygen. The company has developed VisiFerm for biopharmaceutical applications and VisiTrace to measure tiny components in breweries. The developments are based on the VisiFerm series of sensors. According to a statement from the company, these sensors have been continuously developed over the last 15 years. The meticulous control of dissolved oxygen continues to require frequent calibrations to avoid deviations.
"As part of the market launch of the new sensor generation, we have now made significant breakthroughs in the area of sensor and cap design, which drastically reduce the required calibration frequency," commented product manager Christian Adank.
According to the statement, the new VisiFerm RS485 sensor generation has completely new electronics, “which guarantee an 80 per cent reduction in the calibration frequency and 50 per cent greater robustness”. In addition, new components ensure "delivery security for the coming decades". Both sensors have been equipped with Arc technology, allowing them to be viewed using the Arc Air app.
