Numarics has generated gross proceeds of 10 million Swiss francs as part of a financing round. The investment was led by UBS via UBS Next in conjunction with the Zurich-based FiveT Fintech and existing investors Wingman Ventures, likewise from Zurich, and Seed X from Liechtenstein, further details of which can be found in an article on startupticker.ch.
Numarics offers an accounting app to businesses, which, on the basis of Artificial Intelligence (AI), brings together experienced accountants with accounting software. It can perform a range of tasks from bookkeeping to invoicing and tax optimization, all the way through to liquidity planning. The start-up intends to use the fresh capital secured in the financing round to advance production development and drive growth in Switzerland.
According to its own press release, UBS has also agreed a strategic partnership with the fintech. In this context, the aim will be to provide SMEs in particular with access to solutions that make bookkeeping processes, accounting solutions and banking services easier. “The offerings aim to go beyond traditional banking and help SMEs manage their day-to-day business efficiently”, as Alain Conte, Head Corporate & Institutional Clients Switzerland at UBS, explains in the press release.
Numarics was founded in 2020 and has since raised capital totaling 19.3 million Swiss francs. This year, the company transferred its headquarters from Schlieren in the canton of Zurich to Baar in the canton of Zug. ce/ssp
