Degersheim/Sant’Antonio - Krüger & Co. AG is taking over Innovida Swiss Technology, a heat pump manufacturer from the Greater Zurich Area. Innovida Swiss Technology will continue to operate on an independent basis and will open a new production facility in October.

Krüger + Co. AG, headquartered in Degersheim in the canton of St.Gallen, has agreed a deal to acquire the heat pump manufacturer Innovida Swiss Technology SA from Sant’Antonio in the canton of Ticino. The takeover should allow the room climate specialists to meet rising demand for environmentally friendly heating solutions, further details of which can be found in a press release. No details regarding the purchase price were disclosed.

Innovida is set to continue to operate as an independent firm within the Krüger Group. In order to make products and spare parts available from stock for customers, installers and resellers, Krüger has drawn up plans to open a new production facility in Cadenazzo in the canton of Ticino, which aims to significantly expand production capacities.

With the takeover of Innovida Swiss Technology, Krüger Holding is underlining its commitment to “expanding its range of environmentally friendly heating solutions and offering top class customer service”, the press release states.

Innovida Swiss Technology has developed an environmentally friendly heat pump for single-family homes in addition to various types of heating. According to the press release, the company’s patented solution is highly efficient, quiet and can be installed in light shafts hidden from view.

Krüger was founded in 1931 and today employs 290 staff at 21 different locations across Switzerland. The family company sells, leases, installs and carries out maintenance on devices, and is particularly well known for its clothes dryer with room ventilation functionality developed in the 1970s.
