Chur - Graubünden University of Applied Sciences is adding the course Artificial Intelligence in Software Engineering to its offering. This will see specialists trained for a changing job market, where artificial intelligence (AI) is playing an increasingly important role in software development.

Graubünden University of Applied Sciences (FHGR) has added a new course to its program called Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Software Engineering. Focusing on AI, it aims to meet the needs of the changing job profile for software developers. This combination of AI and software development is unique in Switzerland and will shape the jobs of software developers according to a comment from Study Director Corsin Capol in a press release.

It states that students should receive in-depth training on IT, software development, and artificial intelligence, acquiring the skills to use AI technology to accelerate the software development process and raise quality. Pascal Keller, CEO of FHGR partner company Inventx, commented: “AI minimizes manual coding, highlights engineers’ conceptual skills, and thus strengthens Switzerland as a development location. The course really hits the nail on the head!”

Pascal Kaufmann, CEO of Mindfire, agreed: “FHGR is a pioneer in AI education. I recommend that all AI enthusiasts address this future technology sooner rather than later.”

The course will start in the fall of 2024. It can be completed on a part-time basis or as part of a dual study program. The involvement of numerous national and international companies aims to ensure a strong practical orientation. ce/mm
