Under the leadership of former ski racer Bruno Kernen, Anavon Ski AG has succeeded in internationally expanding its sales network and has recorded substantial sales growth, further details of which can be found in a press release. Kernen took over management responsibility of the company, which is based in Disentis in the canton of Graubünden, 12 months ago.
At the general meeting of the Graubünden-based ski manufacturer, the transformation of the company and the challenging material procurement situation were issues brought up for discussion, in addition to the increased cost of materials and logistics as well as the major staffing challenges. These had “left their mark” on the company’s figures, resulting in a negative financial result for the year. As the newly elected board member, Gian Marco Bianchi will bring expertise in the area of production process optimization to the table.
After a successful crowdfunding movement and the acquisition of the global license for ski hardware under the Bogner brand, including ski manufacturing, the company completed a successful turnaround under the guidance of Kernen. In addition, he contributed his expertise to revising and supplementing the model range for the coming season.
Anavon is set to move its headquarters to Zizers, also in the canton of Graubünden, in the spring of 2024. The reasons for this are difficulties in hiring new staff at the site in Disentis and closer proximity to customers at the new location. Moreover, Zizers offers the space required for potential future growth. ce/mm
