The cell culture technology task force at Bielefeld University is researching the production of pharmaceutically relevant proteins and the field of functional genomic analysis, according to Hamilton Bonaduz AG.
To measure living cell densities, the team in Bielefeld has long been working with Hamilton’s Incyte sensor. Since recently however, the overall cell density has been measured using the company’s Dencytee sensor, with the aim of generating optimal results and data on cell growth.
“Our positive experience with Incyte made the decision to continue working with products from the measurement experts easy,” commented research group member Heino Büntemeyer.
Dencytee can measure the status and development of cell cultures in real time – a process that was formerly possible only manually or semi-automatically, explained Büntemeyer. The sensor is also so easy to handle that “inexperienced trainees” can use it for their research.
