Winterthur – turicode has developed a smart solution for extracting information from scanned documents. The startup from the Greater Zurich Area is now receiving funding from the EU’s Horizon 2020 funding programme.

The startup turicode helps companies capture and analyze data in documents with its artificial intelligence-based solution that automatically extracts and organizes relevant information from PDF files and scanned documents. It allows employees to save time by no longer having to manually copy such information from documents. In 2018, turicode gained several customers from different industries for its Software as a Service solution.

The EU Commission has now selected turicode as a startup for Horizon 2020, making it eligible to receive €50,000 in the first phase of the funding programme.

“In a next phase, we would like to show the Commission the tremendous potential of our solution and continue with our mission of making documents more accessible,” said turicode. The objective of the European funding programme is to promote the development of highly promising ideas and technologies.
