GENFIT takes over Versantis
Zurich/Loos - The French pharmaceutical company GENFIT has agreed a deal to acquire Versantis. With its advanced research programs, GENFIT is expanding its pipeline to combat acute-on-chronic liver failure. The takeover will include payments of up to 105 million Swiss francs in addition to a share of revenues.

American company uses Sensirion methane sensors
Stäfa/Denver - The climate analysis platform from Project Canary will in future offer sensors from Sensirion Connected Solutions to its industry clients in the USA. These sensors can detect and quantify leaking methane, meaning, for example, that gas suppliers are able to deliver verifiable climate documents.
German insurer using Spitch speech recognition
Zurich/Munich - The Konzern Versicherungskammer has converted its claims hotline to use natural speech recognition solutions from Spitch in the Greater Zurich Area. The insurer from German has consequently reduced the volume of calls that cannot be allocated from 40 percent to 15 percent.

Lugano/Ecublens - The Swiss National Supercomputing Center (CSCS) has ordered a new Tape Library System from Meanquest. The contract volume for this project, which will run for five years, amounts to 18 million Swiss francs. It is intended to replace the existing IBM system.
