New method measures gene activity in living cells
Zurich/Lausanne - Researchers at the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology have developed a new procedure for analyzing single cells, in which the cells are kept alive. This means that it is also possible to analyze cells over a period of time, which could be used to explain why certain cells are resistant to a cancer drug while others are not.
Synhelion converts sunlight into fuel on industrial scale
Lugano - Synhelion is the first company in the world to produce syngas exclusively from solar heat. Synhelion will use the solar syngas to produce solar kerosene at a plant from 2023. Swiss International Air Lines will be the first to use this.
