Zalando to establish technology hub
Zurich - Zalando has drawn up plans to establish a technology center at the Prime Tower in Zurich. From this base, the German online fashion retailer will seek to advance the development of a virtual changing room. The team will be built around Fision, a Zurich-based start-up recently acquired by Zalando.
New charging network for electric air taxis
Zurich/Munich – The technology company ABB from the Greater Zurich Area has concluded a collaboration with the German company Lilium. Lilium plans to launch an electric flight service in 2024. ABB will provide the required charging infrastructure for this.
Toni Piëch invests in Carify

Domat/Ems GR – EMS is considerably increasing production capacity for polyamide specialties at its site in Domat/Ems in the Greater Zurich Area. The investment in the Graubünden production site totaling 300 million Swiss francs should help to counteract the global shortage of polymers.
Lindt & Sprüngli invest 74 million francs in Olten
Kilchberg ZH/Olten SO - The Lindt & Sprüngli Group has started work on the expansion of the production site in Olten in the canton of Solothurn. By 2024, around 74 million Swiss francs will be pumped into upgrading the Lindt Cocoa Center. This facility produces cocoa mass for all Lindt production facilities across Europe.
Ticino receives European innovation center
Lugano - The consulting group Accenture is seeking to strengthen its presence in the canton of Ticino. Together with the co-working service provider Dagorà and the Lifestyle-Tech Center association, among other organizations, it will establish a European innovation center. 
AXA turns to AI to process future damage claims
Winterthur - AXA Switzerland plans to use artificial intelligence (AI) to process reports of motor vehicle damage. To this end, it is establishing an independent company. AXA Switzerland is still on the lookout for a partner company in the fields of computer vision and machine learning.
SkyCell raises 32 million Swiss francs
Zug - SkyCell has raised 32 million Swiss francs in fresh capital. A portion of this money came from the United Arab Emirates. SkyCell has developed a smart container for the transportation of temperature-sensitive goods.
